Band Protocol Live: On Babylon Genesis, the First Bitcoin Supercharged Network
We’re excited to announce that Band Protocol is now integrated with Babylon Genesis, marking a significant milestone in our journey to bring Band Oracle to the first Bitcoin Supercharged Network (BSNs).

We’re excited to announce that Band Protocol is now integrated with Babylon Genesis, marking a significant milestone in our journey to bring Band Oracle to the first Bitcoin Supercharged Network (BSNs). This integration enhances DeFi Functionality by anchoring data integrity to the economy secured by the Bitcoin network, bringing a new level of trustlessness and decentralization to Web3.
Babylon Genesis enables Proof-of-Stake (PoS) systems to leverage Bitcoin as a trust layer, opening the door to a new generation of applications built on Babylon Genesis. With Band Oracle deployed in the Babylon Genesis ecosystem, Band Protocol becomes one of the first oracle networks to tap into Bitcoin’s security without compromising on performance, decentralization, or composability.
This integration brings Band Oracle to the Babylon Genesis Testnet, enabling developers to experiment with DeFi use cases such as lending, synthetic assets, prediction markets, and DEXs. Reliable price feeds are essential for these primitives, and Band has been making them available since day one.
Why Band Protocol’s integration with Babylon Genesis Matters?
Band Protocol delivers high-frequency, cost-effective oracle data feeds—including $ATOM, $BAND, $BTC, $USDC, and $USDT—through BandChain, a blockchain purpose-built for oracle services. Our integration with Babylon Genesis, the first Bitcoin-supercharged Layer 1 blockchain, marks a significant leap toward enhancing oracle integrity within the decentralized Bitcoin ecosystem.
Both BandChain and Babylon Genesis are built on the Cosmos SDK, enabling native chain-level compatibility. With Inter Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC) and Band’s CosmWasm Standard Reference Smart Contract, Band can seamlessly stream secure, real-time price data directly to smart contracts on Babylon Genesis, unlocking plug-and-play interoperability for developers.
How It Works: Trustless Oracle Anchoring with Bitcoin
On Babylon Genesis, Band Protocol supplies secure and reliable price feeds for key assets including BTC, ATOM, BAND, USDT, and USDC. The process starts with BandChain aggregating market data from leading sources such as CoinGecko, Binance, and CoinMarketCap. This data is then validated and finalized through Band’s Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) consensus, making it tamper-resistant and decentralized.
Once verified, the price data is transmitted cross-chain to Babylon Genesis via IBC, where it is made available to developers through Band’s CosmWasm standard reference smart contracts. These contracts allow dApps to effortlessly fetch real-time price data using simple read functions, meaning no oracles to maintain, no complexity to manage.
The result is a robust, modular oracle system that delivers high-frequency and high-integrity data, perfectly suited for DeFi apps on Babylon Genesis. Every price update is consensus-driven, cryptographically signed, and available to developers in near real-time.
With this integration, Band Oracle becomes one of the foundational layers of the Babylon Genesis ecosystem, enabling builders to launch secure, data-driven dApps from day one.
Let’s Build the Future Together
Builders—this is your moment. The Babylon Genesis Chain is in its early stages, making now the ideal time for you to innovate and shape the next wave of Bitcoin-supercharged decentralized applications. We envision a trustless, interoperable future where developers can build freely and securely across ecosystems, powered by verifiable data and shared infrastructure. Let’s build that future together.

This integration marks just the beginning of a long-term vision. Our joint roadmap includes:
- 24/7 monitoring to maintain the accuracy, reliability, and uptime of Band price feeds on Babylon Genesis
- **Seamless integration of Band Oracle v3** infrastructure into Babylon Genesis to support advanced data workflows and multi-chain compatibility
- Strategic collaborations with DeFi protocols seeking customized oracle data for innovative and niche use cases
- Ongoing research into new products, where Band and Babylon Labs are researching a more secure, decentralized, and modular Web3 stack
Band x Babylon Genesis is more than a technical integration—it’s a commitment to unlocking the next era of decentralized infrastructure, where Bitcoin’s security anchors trust and innovation across ecosystems.
About Babylon LabsBabylon Labs focuses on Bitcoin security-sharing protocols with a vision of building a Bitcoin-secured decentralized world. The latest software development is the world's first trustless and self-custodial Bitcoin staking protocol, which enables Bitcoin holders to stake their BTC on other decentralized systems such as PoS chains, L2s, Data Availability (DA) layers, etc, enabling stakers to earn staking rewards without the need for third-party custody, bridge solutions, or wrapping services. The greater idea is to combine the high security and wide adoption of Bitcoin with the efficiency and scalability of PoS systems, increasing Bitcoin's utility.
